Code various aspects of Crackle�s underlying platform, including the business logic and data layers, corresponding to SQL scripts and stored procedures. Apply optimal design patterns and best practices when coding solutions. Execute software testing, and debug source codes to ensure quality of developed applications. Perform engineering analyses on optimal agile software development processes (an approach to software development under which requirements and solutions evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing and cross-functional teams, including customers and end users) for highly iterative software solutions. Take a lead role on various Crackle engineering projects, and work with appropriate stakeholders to ensure the best software specifications and quality. Actively participate in the site�s for software release and deployment process. Document source codes consistently throughout the development process on a procedural, modular, and database level. Mentor junior engineers with programming assignments. Minimum education required: Bachelor�s degree or equivalent in computer science or related. Minimum experience required: Five years in the job offered or a related occupation in DevOps. Alternative requirements: In lieu of a bachelor�s degree or equivalent in computer science or related, master�s degree or equivalent in computer science or related and two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation in DevOps. Skills required: Demonstrated ability to code various aspects of an over-the-top (OTT) platform, including business logic, data layers, application programming interfaces, or testing. Demonstrated ability to perform object-oriented programming in high-level frameworks and languages such as .NET, Python, Java. Demonstrated ability to perform relational and NoSQL database design, administration or optimization in SQL languages and stored procedures. Demonstrated ability to design and implement authenticated REST APIs to securely transfer business data to and from end-user applications. Demonstrateda ability to test software or debugging, or perform root cause analysis to mitigate software-induced service interruptions. Demonstrated ability to perform engineering analyses for optimal Agile software development processes to provide iterative software solutions. Demonstrated ability to manage network configuration changes to configure domain and subdomain traffic routing that allows SSL certificate issuance enabling secure https app traffic.
