Job Title: C. Bilingual Dental Assistant Location: Dothan, A. Dothan Smiles is expanding our team! We are est., dynamic, & continually growing practice, specializing in G. & Cosmetic Dentistry. We service 150-mile radius, & w/ our Latino community rapidly expanding, we are seeking to bring on C. Bilingual Dental Assistant to help expand our svcs. to local Latino community & surrounding areas. We offer competitive salary, benefits, 401K, & attractive monthly BONUS program. Candidate Qualifications (req'd.): � Min. 8+ yrs. of Dental Assisting exp. � Must be fully fluent/bilingual in English & Spanish to convey following to our patient base: o Explain complex treatment plans to patients. o A. to understand & articulate intricacies of insurance & payment plans, & answer follow-up questions. o Available after hrs. to take emergency calls forwarded from practice answering service. � Min. 4+ yrs.� exp. in bilingual (English & Spanish) practices translating Dentists� recomm. to patients. � Extensive exp. assisting w/ general & cosmetic dentistry, as well as advanced cases incl. endodontistry, prosthetics, implant, & bone grafting. � Must have exp. w/ Cerec technology: scanning, design & troubleshooting hardware & software. � Previous exp. managing dental staff & ability to train other junior assistants when needed. � Comfortable wk'ing. independently w/ third-party laboratories to ensure timely delivery of removable cases, crowns, bridges, etc. � Must be local to area or within reasonable commutable distance. No relocation assistance available. J. Duties: � Reports solely to DMD leveraging existing ties to Latino community & helps mkt. our svcs. to potential new Spanish speaker patients. � Resp. for supervision of dental assistants, hygiene, treatment plans, charting, & 3rd party laboratory coord.. � Assists DMD in advanced procedures & oral surgeries. � Performs preliminary examination of patients & performs any independent wk., within scope of practice, needed before DMD begins procedures: review medical history, x-rays, impressions, denture delivery & adjustment, seating &/or adjustment of crowns/bridges, etc. � Resp. for scanning of 3-D graphic design & milling of Cerec crowns, as well as collaborative design w/ 3rd party laborites for complex cases. � Coordinates w/ office manager on scheduling & follow-up for advanced cases based on DMD recomm.. � Provides guidance & training as well as oversees charting & proposed treatment plans of other dental assistants. � Resp. for inventory & ordering of clinical supplies & equipment. Education Req's. � Bachelor�s deg. (or equiv.) in biology, health sciences, or other medical/dental discipline. � Current CPR certification. � Current OSHA certification.
